Library

The construction of the Gongkar Choede library was undertaken in 2013 and chiefly realized with the generous support of devotees from Singapore and Malaysia. The library was set up at the initiative of Khen Rinpoche Jampel Choedzin with the vision of providing the monastic community with resources and a suitable place for reading and study. The library currently holds some 1500 items including mainly Tibetan language publications on the various fields of Buddhist learning. The library provides the monk students reading space and computer facilities for pursuing their studies and developing their skills in text writing and literary research. A further objective of the Gongkar Choede Library is the continual search and gathering of the scriptural heritage of the Dzongpa tradition practiced at Gongkar Choede monastery.
